Murthal



Murthal is a small town situated on the outskirts of Sonipat (8 km), off the Grand Trunk Road, in Haryana. The place is famous for its Dhabas and beautiful peacocks, which are quite abundant in the town. Murthal is located 48 km north of New Delhi.

Places of tourist interest in and around the town include Akbarpur Barota, Rai and the tomb of Khawaja Khizar and Dargah Mamu Bhaanza in Sonipat. Excursions to New Delhi, Rohtak and Jind will be an enchanting experience.

Nearest airport is at New Delhi. Sonipat Railway Station, located on the Ambala-Delhi railway line, is the closest railway station.
