Fatehabad District



Fatehabad District is located in the south-western part of Haryana, and is surrounded by Punjab in the north, Hissar District in the south, Jind District in the east, and Rajasthan and Sirsa District in the west. The geographical area is 2,520 sq km. The Ghaggar is the major river.

The major crops are cotton, wheat, grams, bajra, sugarcane, and paddy. Murrah buffalo and dale sheep are the animal wealth of Fatehbad. Shershah Ka Kila, Idgah and Ashoka Stambh are 3 historical monuments. Archeological sites such as Kunal Mound and Banawali Mound reveal the existence of Pre-Harappan and Harappan culture.
