Vyara is located in
Surat District and lies on the
Surat-Songadh Road. It is around 40 km east of Surat. During the ancient period, this place was ruled by the Gaeckwads and was known as Virharpur.
Vyara houses several educational institutions and a well established library known as Shri Shivaji Sarvajanik Library.
