Tarnetar

Tarnetar is a small town located in the Surendranagar District, in Gujarat. This quaint little settlement is renowned for hosting one of Gujarat's most well known annual fairs, Tarnetar Mela, held here during the first week of Bhadrapad (September-October). Legend says that it was the site where Draupadi’s ' swayamvaram' took place. The Trineteshwar Shiva Temple, where the mela is held is also worth visiting. Tarnetar is about 75 km north-east of Rajkot.

Rajkot Junction Railway Station, served by the Western Railways, is a major railhead of Gujarat.
