Agam Mandir




Agam Mandir is a Jain Temple situated in Surat, in Gujurat. The temple is dedicated to Mahavir Bhagwan (Lord). Other deities in the temple include Adeshwar Bhagwan and Parshwanath Bhagwan.

Agam Mandir was built on the inspiration of the Jain saint Acharya Shri Anandsagarsuriji Maharaj Saheb. This particular temple comes under the category of the Agam temple due to the Jain inscriptions on copper sheets called Dharm Agams, hung on the walls of the temple. This temple is the biggest of the Agam temples, a rare sight in the country.
