Shri Taranga Teerth, the temple of Shri Ajitnath Bhagvan, is an ancient Jain temple situated on the Taranga Hills
in Mehsana District
. It is located about 61 km from Mehsana
This temple, once belonged to King Kumarapala, has undergone renovation. Built during the Solanki period (11th-12th century), it is notable for its huge dimension and architecture. The temple has been built in an area of 230 sq ft. Keghat woods (fire-proof wood) were used along with stones for the construction work.
The temple complex has 14 temples of which 9 belong to shwetambar and 5 to Digambar sects. At a distance of one kilometer from the teerth, there is a sacred place called Kotisheela on the Taranga Hills.
