Shrine of Angar Pir

Shrine of Angar Pir is the tomb of a Muslim saint, situated near the Shri Adishwara Temple at Palitana in Bhavnagar District of Gujarat. Palitana is about 56 km south-west of Bhavnagar.

This shrine lies at the same hill top, where the 11th century Jain temples are situated. It is believed that Angar Pir saved these temples from being looted by the Afghan invaders.

This place is mostly visited by barren women who desire to have a child. They offer miniature cradles at the shrine in the hope of being blessed with a child by the saint.
