Valsad



Valsad, the administrative headquarters of the Valsad District, is a small and beautiful town in South Gujarat. It is 110 km south of Surat. The town is famous for handloom textiles, dyes, bricks, and pottery and castor-oil-extraction industry. Valsad also boasts the largest petrochemical complex in the country. Daman District is around 30 km southwest of Valsad. Vansada is a nearby attraction.

Valsad Railway Station is on the Mumbai-Surat line. The National Highway 8 passes through Valsad.
