Gaga Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary




Gaga Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary is located on the coast of the Gulf of Kutch at Kalyanpur Taluk, in Jamnagar District of Gujarat. This sanctuary was established to provide inviolate refuge for Great Indian Bustard, with a view to minimize its depredation. The sanctuary, spread over 4 sq km, is covered by grassland and saline scrubs.

Apart from the bustard, the sanctuary also supports different terrestrial birds and some wild mammals. Wild mammals include wolf, jackal, mongoose, jungle cat and blue bull.

Jamnagar Airport and Bhatia Railway Station are the nearest major access points.
