Kalyanpur, situated to the south-east of Dwarka, is a taluk headquarters in Jamnagar District of Gujarat. Khambhalia is in the north and Bhanvad is to its east. Most villages around the town and the taluk follow the ‘Gauchaara’ system (‘Gau: cattle; ‘Chaara’: grazing) for animal husbandry, which is their main means of livelihood. Gaga Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary, on the coast of the Gulf of Kutch, is the prime attraction. Shri Swaminarayan Mandir at Khakharda is also located near Kalyanpur. Porbandar Airport and Bhatia Railway Station are the nearest access points.
