Dahod District



Dahod District of Gujarat was formed by dividing Panchmahals District. It is bounded by the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, covering an area of 5,300 sq km. The city of Dahod is the headquarters.

About 90% people belong to tribal community, and Dahod is famous for tribal culture. It is the birth place of the famous Mughal emperor Aurangazeb. Major tourist attractions are the archaeological wonder of Bawka, Basket Lake (Talab), and the 15th Century Shiva Temple.
