Manek Chowk, renowned as a gold trading bazaar, is situated to the east of Jami Masjid. Traditional crafts such as specially woven, hand block printed and embroidered fabrics and silver jewelry are available. Lots of antique stores are also found. Nearby attractions are the Tomb of Ahmed Shah I, the founder of
Ahmedabad city, and the mausoleum of his queen Rani-ka-Hazira.
