Velim

Velim, about 4 km east of Cavelossim, is located in Salcette taluk of South Goa District. It is in the south-western region of the taluk, near the Arabian Sea. Ambelim is 2 km north. Betul (famed for the Betul Beach) and Fatorpa (noted for the Shantadurga Temple) are other nearest prominent places. Cavelossim Beach, Mobor Beach and Varca Beach are within a short distance. The nearest airport is Goa Airport and the closest railway station is Madgaon Railway Station.
