Pale




About 7 km from Surla, Pale is a mining town in Bicholim taluk, in North Goa District. It is at the southern end of the taluk and is near its border with Ponda and Sattari taluks. Birondem is about 8 km east and Melauli is nearly 8 km away. Shri Navadurga Temple is the major shrine in this area. Pandava Caves and Madei Wildlife Sanctuary are worth visiting around. Goa Airport and Karmali Railway Station are the main access points.
