Shree Kamakshi Temple




Shree Kamakshi Temple is a delightful shrine situated at Siroda, in North Goa District, Goa. The temple was originally located at Raia in Salcette, South Goa District, and later transferred to the present location. The presiding deity here is Goddess Kamakshi, an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi.

Other deities worshipped here include Sri Laxminarayan, Sri Shanthadurga, Sri Rayeshwar, Sri Mahadeshwar, Betal, Kalabhairav and Grama Purusha.

Navratri, Dussehra and Mahashivaratri are the major festivals celebrated here amid much pomp and splendor.

The Agrashalas surrounding the main temple provide lodging and boarding for pilgrims.

Chandargao Railway Station, on the Margao-Colem rail route, is the nearest railwat station.
