Located about 2 km from Camurlim, Oxel is a sleepy village at the north-western end of Bardez taluk, in North Goa District. It is on the banks of the Chapora River and is 3 km south-west of Siolim. Morgim Beach and Vagator Beach can be visited while in Oxel.
Goa Airport and Tivim Railway Station are the main access points. The place is linked with Mapusa, the taluk headquarters, by road.
