Sal River




Sal river originates in Goa, near the village of Verna, in Salcete Taluk. It runs due south, passing by the town of Margao. The river is fed by the tributaries of Navelim and Cuncolim that joins the main river at Davorlim and Assolna villages. The river then travels southwards to join the Arabian Sea at Betul. The total length of the river is around 35kms.
