Fatorpa is a small village in Quepem taluk of South Goa District, situated about 18 km from Margao. There is a famous temple, Shri Shantadurga Temple where an annual festival is organized during December – January months, attracting thousands of devotees from far and near. The village is also famous for its festival of Shantadurga Prasann and Ghodemodni (a parade of horse riders) which forms part of Shigmo festival celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Phalgun in March. Nearby lies a natural dam called Quepem Dam or Quepem Bandh, which is worth visiting. The nearest railway station is at Margao.
