Set against the background of captivating scenery, Dudhsagar falls is a feast for the eyes. The word 'Dudhsagar' literally meaning 'the sea of milk’ derives from the clouds of foam kicked up at the bottom when the water levels are at their highest. The falls overlook a steep drop covered with pristine tropical forest.

The falls is about an hour's journey from Colem by train, and about 60 km from Panaji.
