National Highway 17




National Highway 17, declared a highway in 1972, links Panvel in Maharashtra with Edapally in Kerala. This 1,269 km long road passes through Panvel, Mahad, Panaji, Karwar, Mangalore, Kannur, Kozhikode, Feroke, Kuttipuram, Pudu and Ponnani before merging with NH 47 at Edapally near Kochi. Of its total length, the road traverses 482 km in Maharashtra, 139 km in Goa, 280 km in Karnataka and 368 km in Kerala. Karavali Hotel, Dharmavara Resort, Hotel Hariprasad and Hotel Ramadev at Udupi, Taj Riverview Gateway Hotel at Chiplun, Nalanda Resorts near Nileshwaram and Kadavu Resort at Kozhikode are some hotels located along the highway.
