Boma is in the southern region of North Goa District. It is around 6 km from Velinga, on the National Highway 4A. Mardol is about 4 km south.

Dantear Ovio - a popular Ovi song sung during the occasion of grinding wheat and rice for various food preparations on the occasions of weddings – is famous in this area.

Shri Lakshminarsimha Temple, Shri Mahalasa Narayani Temple and Shree Nagesh Maharoudra Temple are in the neighborhood.

The place can be approached from Goa Airport and Karmali Railway Station.
