Assolda

Assolda is near the National Highway 17, in Quepem taluk of South Goa District. It is in the southern part of the taluk, and is bounded by Agonda (7 km) in the west, Fatorpa (6 km) in the north, Naina (7 km) in the east and Barcem (2 km) in the south.

Agonda Beach and a 300 year old church in Agonda, ShantaDurga Temple, Pirla Rock Art Site and Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary are worth visiting.

Balli Railway Station, on the Margao-Ankola railway line, serves Assolda. The nearest airport is Goa Airport, around 40 km away in Dabolim.
