Albuquerque Mansion

Built in 1920, Albuquerque Mansion is an architectural delight in Anjuna, about 18 km north of Panaji and 9 km from Mapusa. It stands at a distance of 29 km from Karmali Railway Station.

The mansion was built by Dr Manuel Albuquerque, an expatriate Goan who served as a physician in the kingdom of Zanzibar. This massive structure, flanked by massive octagonal towers, has an attractive Mangalore tile-roof.

St Michael’s Church, Anjuna Beach, Mascarenhas Mansion, Mapusa Market and Chapora Fort are some tourist places adjacent to this mansion.
