Established in 1922, Roshanara Club is a social club on Roshanara Gardens in
New Delhi. The club was initially set as the garden tomb for Begum Roshanara, the youngest daughter of the Mughal Emperor
Shah Jahan. Spread over 22 acres of land, the place appears as a mini forest with variety of trees.
Roshanara Club is more famous for Cricket Board which was held in front of an old fire place. A trophy showcase located in the lobby of the club gives an idea of Cricket Museum. The club also conducts cricket coaching for young boys.
Other recreational facilities include tennis, squash, table-tennis, badminton, billiards and cards. There is a swimming pool, gymnasium, library and bar. Continental and Indian dishes are served in the dining hall.
Unaccompanied guests are not permitted in the club. A guest can visit only two times in a month. Pathani suits, shorts, bermudas and chappals are not allowed to wear in the club.
The club celebrates Diwali, Christmas, Independence Day and New Year eve. The club is open on all days from 06:00 to 00:00 hrs.
