Nizam-Ud-Din Shrine




Nizam-Ud-Din Shrine is the shrine of a Muslim Sufi saint, Nizam-Ud-Din Auliya, situated across the road from Humayun's Tomb, in South Delhi District, Delhi. There is a large water tank situated inside the premises of the shrine. The shrine is surrounded by several other tombs including the tomb of Amir Khusro and the grave of Jahanara - the daughter of Shah Jahan. Also is the tomb of Atgah Khan, a favorite of Humayun and his son Akbar.

Large numbers of devotees visit the shrine on every Thursdays around sunset. Qawwali singers start performing after the evening prayers.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station is the nearest railhead. The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport.
