Lakshmi Narayan Temple




Lakshmi Narayan Temple, one of the favorite tourist attractions in New Delhi, was built by the Birla family in 1938. The inauguration of the temple was done by Mahatma Gandhi, the father of nation. The temple which is also known as Birla Temple enshrines the Hindu deity, Lord Vishnu along with his consort, Goddess Lakshmi. There are separate shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga and Lord Ganesh. One of the largest temples in India, Birla Temple attracts thousands of visitors daily. People of any faith can enter the temple.
