Mayur Vihar

Mayur Vihar is a teeming residential locale in East Delhi District, near its border with Uttar Pradesh, in Delhi. It is located close to the Nizamuddin Bridge and the posh South Delhi and is just around 5 km from Noida. The shopping hub of Connaught Place is 12 km west.

Mayur Vihar is being developed by the Delhi Development Authority – while phase I has been completed, phase II and III are under construction.

ASN Senior Secondary, Ahlcon Public School, Don Bosco, Bal Bhawan Public School and Agarson College are the major educational institutions in Mayur Vihar. Acharya Niketan Market is a popular market place in phase I while most DDA shopping complexes are in phase II and III. Apart from this, there are scores of restaurants and food junctions in and around Mayur Vihar. HSBC, HDFC and ICICI banks have their branches/ATM centers at Mayur Vihar.

On a flip side, the proximity with major highways and industrial areas like Okhla and Noida has contributed to the increased pollution levels in the atmosphere.

Mayur Vihar is a stop on the proposed Barakhamba Road – Noida route of Delhi Metro Line 3. ISBT at Kashmiri Gate is 15 km north-west. Indira Gandhi International Airport is about 30 km south-west.
