Najafgarh is a historic settlement in the western outskirts of New Delhi, in South West Delhi District. It is located about 25 km west of Chanakyapuri and around 40 km from Ferozeshah Kotla.

Najafgarh was founded by Najaf Khan during the reign of Shah Alam II in the 18th century. The historic Delhi Gate, once a gateway to the town of Najafgarh, still stands witnessing the changing times, through the past to the present and hopefully to the distant future. The monument has been classified as of Archeological Value B and is under the administration of the Archeological Survey of India.

Indira Gandhi International Airport is 15 km south-east.
