Udanti Sanctuary




Udanti Sanctuary occupies the south-eastern portion of Gariaband taluka of Raipur District in Chhattisgarh and adjoins Orissa state in eastern side.

Covering an area of 247 sq km, the sanctuary is created to protect the wild buffaloes. Prior permission from Divisional Forest Officer, Raipur, is required to enter the sanctuary.

Accommodation is available inside and on outskirts of the sanctuary.

The nearest railway station is Dhamtari Railway Station. The main approachable road is Raipur-Rajim-Gariaband-Mainpur-Deobhog road.
