Chitrakot Waterfalls

Mini-Niagara



Chitrakot Waterfalls, about 38 km to the west of Jagdalpur, is a beautiful cataract on the river Indravati. Chitrakot, with an awesome height of 100 ft, is also considered a mini-Niagara because of its horse-shoe shape. The main attraction for travelers is the play of rainbow hues on the falls.

Tiratgarh Waterfalls, Danteshwari Temple, Bastar Palace, Kanger Valley National Park, and Kutumsar and Kailash Caves are other tourist attractions in the area.

The ideal season for visit is July to October. Accommodations is available in government resthouse.
