Semarsot Wildlife Sanctuary



Semarsot Wildlife Sanctuary derives its name from a small village Semarsot, on Ambikapur - Ramanujganj road, in Sarguja District of Chhattisgarh. It is about 68 km from Ambikapur.

Covering about 430 sq km of forest land, this sanctuary shelters tiger, leopard, four-horned antelope, muntjac, chevrotain, sloth bear, striped hyena, bear, blue bulls, sambar deer, chital, barking deer, wild pigs, gaur, jackals and peacock.

January to June is ideal to visit the sanctuary.

Anuppur Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. Nearest bus station is at Ramanuj Ganj.
