Gaya has two bus stations - the Gandhi Maidan Bus Station (on the west of the Falgu River) and the Gaurakshini Bus Station (situated on the east of Falgu River). The Gandhi Maidan Bus Station operates services to
Patna and
Ranchi. Buses for
Rajgir,
Varanasi and
Bodhgaya leave from the Gaurakshini Bus Station.
Gaya Junction Railway Station is situated to the north of Gaya city. The airport close to the station is Patna Airport (125 km.)
Hotel Siddhartha International offers good accommodation near the bus station.
The Vishnupad Temple and Archeological Museum are at a short distance. Local travel is by means of auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws.
