Nalanda Archeological Museum




Established in 1915, the Nalanda Archaeological Museum is situated opposite the entrance to the university, in Nalanda of Bihar. It is a store house of excavations from Nalanda and Rajgir.

The items on display include an array of sculptures, terracotta and bronzes. Also seen are architectural friezes, panels, pillars and fragments. Significant among the collections are Pala and Mauryan artifacts, Buddhist statues and manuscripts.
