Karwandiya

Karwandiya, also spelled Karwandia, is about 5 km to the east of Sasaram, in Rohtas District of Bihar. This place is perched at an altitude of 357 ft above sea level, close to the western banks of the Son River.

Karwandiya is only a few yards off the National Highway 30. Dehri on Sone is approximately 14 km to the east of the town.

Rohtasgarh Fort is the prime attraction in the vicinity. Other interesting spots are Bhaluni Dham and Tarachandi. For Sikhs, Gurdwara Chacha Phaggu Mal is a popular pilgrim spot.

Nearest airport is Patna Airport.

The rail route linking Sasaram with Gaya runs close the town. Karwandiya is served by Sasaram Railway Station.
