Kakan




Kakan is a renowned religious center located about 20 km north of Jamui. Suvidhinath, the 9th Teerthankar of the Jains, is believed to have been born here. Every year thousands of pilgrims from every nook and corner of the region throng here. Accommodation facilities are available for the devotees at Jain Mandir Dharmshala. Kumar Gram, a famous Jain shrine noted for an old Devi temple, is easily accessible from here. The historical Indapi which is popularly known as Indraprastha is also worth visiting. Jamui has its own railway station.
