Pavapuri




Pavapuri, located in Nalanda District of Bihar, is a small village with immense historical and religious importance. It is believed that Mahavir, the last and 24th Tirthankar of the Jain religion, attained salvation in this village. Gunava Jain Temple, located 3 km from the village, is one of the main attractions. Bihar Sharif, a center of Islamic architecture, is at a distance of 14 km from the village. Nearest airport is at Patna. Bihar Sharif Railway Station, served by East Central Railways, is the major railhead.
