Agam Kuan

Agam Kuan, a fathomless well, is one of the prominent historic remains in Patna. Built by Emperor Ashoka, it is supposed to be a part of the legendary hall. This well has endless source of water.

Fa Hiuen, a famous Chinese traveler, states that Ashoka, during his distant journeys, once came across the kingdom of Yama. Accordingly, he built a massive hall similar to one he had seen there. Later, when he embraced Buddhism, Ashoka demolished this hall.

Gulzarbagh Railway Station is nearby.
