Deo is situated on the
National Highway 2, 150 km from
Patna and 20 km from
Gaya. The town has an ancient Sun temple, dedicated to
Surya. Interestingly, while most Sun temples face east, this shrine faces west.
Chhath is a major festival celebrated here.
