Poorva Express




Poorva Express runs between Howrah Railway Station in West Bengal and New Delhi Railway Station in Delhi. (The Indian word ‘poorva’ means ‘east’). There are two different routes.

Train Nos. 2303 and 2304
These trains cover a distance of 1,531 km and the main cities on the way are Asansol, Jasidih, Patna, Allahabad, Kanpur, Etawah and Aligarh.

Train number 2303: Howrah to New Delhi, leaves Howrah on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 09:10 hrs.
Train number 2304: New Delhi to Howrah, leaves New Delhi on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 16:15 hrs.

Train Nos. 2381 and 2382
These trains run through the cities of Aligarh, Etawah, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gaya, Dhanbad and Asansol and cover a distance of 1,448 km.

Train number 2381: Howrah to New Delhi, leaves Howrah on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 09:25 hrs.
Train number 2382: New Delhi to Howrah, leaves New Delhi on Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 16:15 hrs.
