Amour

Amour is a major town in Purnia District of Bihar. It is located 31 km north of Purnia, the district headquarters, and 14 km north of Baisi, on the National Highway 31. Surjapuri dialect is spoken here. Mahananda River, a major eastern tributary of the Ganges, passes close to this town. The nearest airport and railhead are Civil Enclave Bagdogra and Purnia Junction Railway Station - on the Araria-Katihar railway line.
