Ahilya Asthan, a renowned ancient temple, is located 3 km south of Kamtaul Railway Station at
Ahilyagram, in
Darbhanga District of
Bihar. This temple is dedicated to Ahalya, wife of Gautam Rishi and a well known character in the
Ramayana.
Every year large fairs are organized during
Ramnavami in Chaitra (mid-March to mid-April) and Vivah Panchami in Agrahayan (mid-November to mid-December). People from far and near gather here to witness these spectacular events and offer their prayers.
