Tezpur Festival is celebrated in the beautiful city of Tezpur in Sonitpur District, Assam. Situated on the northern bank of the river Brahmaputra, the city hosts the festival annually during the month of December and the district administration usually arranges a number of programmes. Provisions are made for angling, rafting, trekking, arm wrestling, boating, golf, archery, marathon and even the traditional Dhop. Horse show and fireworks display are added attractions for tourists. Dance performances by renowned artists are arranged. An entire range of the culinary delights of Assam can be tasted.
