Rangamati




Rangamati is a small village in Bokaro District, Jharkhand. It is situated on the district border and is noted for its serene atmosphere. The state highway connecting Peterbar and Gumia passes nearby. The nearby places are Saram, Hasir, Jageswar and Danea.

The Damodar River, rising in the Chota Nagpur plateau, flows close to this place. Known for its beautiful landscape and quiet atmosphere, this place is an ideal retreat for tourists. Gumia, the place inhabited by Santhal, Oraon, Munba and Kharia tribes, is easily accessible from here.

By road, Rangamati is well connected with Bokaro and Gumia. Ranchi Airport is the nearest major airport. Bermo Railway Station, on the Gumia-Gomoh line, serves this area.
