Jorhat Gymkhana Club

Jorhat Gymkhana, situated in Jorhat, is a social club for sports, recreation and socio-cultural activities. Jorhat, famous for sprawling tea gardens, is about 314 km north-east of Guwahati.

It was established in 1876 by D. Slimmon, the then secretary of the club. Jorhat Gymkhana Club, with its tennis, billiards, bridge, race weeks, flower shows, seasonal balls and ubiquitous bar gossip, is a must see place when in Assam.

The gymkhana has one of the area's most exciting 9-hole golf courses. It is a superbly conditioned easy walking golf course and a challenge for all golfers regardless of skill level.
