Various species of sea and freshwater dry fish
are available here, which comes mainly from the nearby states of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar.
The north-eastern hill states are the major consumers of dry fish; a part of it is also exported to South Asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia.
