Basudeb Devalay




Basudeb Devalay is a sacred shrine situated in Nalbari in Assam. The temple is devoted to Lord Krishna, known as Lord Basudeb. It was erected during the reign of the Ahom King Sib Singha (1718-1744). The temple has a fairy tale in association with a fisherman.

The main festivals celebrated in this temple are Douljatra, Janmashtami and Shivratri. The temple located away from the urban chaos is an oasis of peace and tranquility.

Nalbari is well connected to Guwahati by road. The nearest railway station is Rangia.
