Bagurumba

A Tribal Dance



Bagurumba Dance is performed by the Bodo community. It is characterized by slow steps and outstretched hands. Young girls dress in very colourful attire and perform this dance, to the accompaniment of traditional Bodo musical instruments. This dance prevails in Bodo inhabited areas of Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Nalbari, Darrang and Sonitpur districts.
