Warangal Fort was built during the 13th century by the Kakatiyas
. The four huge
type gateways at the entrance are fine specimens of South India style architecture. The fort is in ruins and there is a temple in the middle of the fort. Warangal Fort has two walls and the outer wall is considered to be the largest of its kind in India. Situated near Warangal
town, the fort is also famous for its sculptures. Khush Mahal
is a nearby attraction.
