Papagni River

Papagni River is a sacred river which originates in Karnataka. It is a tributary of the Pennar River and flows through Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh. It also passes through the 200 ft Palakonda hills and enters the plains of Cuddapah District. Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple, positioned on the right side of the Papagni River, is the main attraction. Devotees visit the temple after a holy bath from here. Apart from this, many other temples are situated on the banks of the river.
