Telangana region forms the northern part of Andhra Pradesh. It includes Hyderabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Rangareddy, and Warangal districts. It was ruled by great dynasties such as Sathavahanas, Chalukyas, Kakatiyas, Mughals, Qutub Shahis, and Asaf Jahis. This region can be found mentioned in the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Puranas. It is one of the least developed regions in India. Telengana has a rich tradition of culture and has abundant natural resources.
